Inkjet Printing Technology was originated by Canon with their BubbleJet technology, the basis of which is employed by the likes of Hewlett Packard and most other manufacturers. The main exception to this being Epson with their Piezo based technology. As a generalised rule for all inkjet based printers you can fit around 1 billion of the droplets ejected from an inkjet printhead into a teaspoon. One square metre of print  will contain over 20 billion droplets.

In a motor car a high performance engine oil has to cope with up to 6,000 rpm. An inkjet fluid has to cope with the equivalent of over 1,000,000 rpm. A single printhead nozzle can eject around 360,000 droplets in a minute. The rate of flow in an inkjet printhead nozzle is around 100,000 times that of a wave hitting a beach. If you were small enough to fit inside a droplet, the surface tension would be so strong that you would be unable to escape.
